What inspired you to start LIVLII?
We were tired of home makeover shows masking the realities behind home improvement and styling projects and gatekeeping how-to steps to replicate the look.
Homeowners and long-term tenants alike deserve to feel empowered and have access to the critical resources to tackle home projects. Watching sexy reveals can be a terrific source of inspiration. But the steps designers took to get there are NEVER revealed. Livlii is attempting to pull back the curtains to reveal EVERY step that goes into the design process, concentrating on HOW we got there and WHY we made the decisions we did throughout the process.
What inspired the name?
We LOVE word play and we wanted our brand to have meaning. Livlii is a word mash-up of “Living” and “Wisely”. Living Wisely speaks to our core mission- to help all humans strengthen their home knowledge and skills to become wiser at every day living and styling in their space.
We intentionally spelled the word out to include three “i’s”. The three “i’s” represent the three pillars of people that help make a project come true. One “i” represents us- the Livlii team empowering individuals with our educational tools, tricks, and trade. The second “i” represents the style-enthusiast learner, aka the homeowner or long-term tenant who’s seeking to become wiser at living and home styling. The third “i” is all the other professionals, tools, products, etc. that turn a home-styling dream into a reality.
